High School Program

Siena only offers a diploma track high school program. We are not appropriate for students completing high school certificate coursework. Siena will add one grade level per year to serve grades 5 - 12 by fall 2009, allowing all students who enroll the opportunity to continue through graduation. Our focus is to prepare students for admissions to competitive college and university programs.

Siena's high school curriculum is currently under development. The program is being designed to meet or exceed all requirements necessary to earn a Maryland state high school diploma. The high school will offer traditional course sequences in English language arts, science, math, social studies and foreign language along with a variety of electives in the arts, physical education and other areas. Students will receive additional academic support as needed.

We expect all high school students will participate in student internships. These internships will be designed to further develop each student's individual career interests, while strengthening their college applications and providing "real world" reinforcement of instructional content. To assist its students, Siena will be specifically seeking out and identifying leading college and university programs for students with language-based learning differences.
