Financial Aid

At Siena, we have a strong desire to serve all students and families who can benefit from our program. We make all admissions decisions without regard to financial circumstances. To assist families that may not otherwise be able to consider Siena, we have established a financial aid program offering tuition assistance grants. We also hope to offer a limited number of scholarship grants covering up to 75% of tuition and fees.

Financial need is determined through careful analysis of a family's financial situation, including all sources of funds available to contribute to the child's education. Tuition assistance and scholarship grant awards are determined by Siena's Financial Aid Committee. As part of this process, we receive input from financial analysis provided by the School and Student Service for Financial Aid. However, please recognize that limited resources may prevent full funding of the demonstrated need and that final decisions are at the sole discretion of Sienas Financial Aid Committee. Families must reapply for financial aid each year.

Application Process
1. Deadlines. New families applying for financial aid should submit all required items along with their application for admission. Returning families must submit all required items no later than March 15th. Notification of financial aid awards should be provided within two weeks of submission.

2. Parents' Financial Statement. Both parents must complete an online Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) with School and Student Services (SSS). This form can be accessed at https://sss.ets.org/pfsHome.do. Please enter 4292 as the school code for The Siena School.

3. Tax Returns. Both parents must mail to Siena the following information:
a. Copies of signed tax returns for the year ended December 31 and the prior year, including copies of all W-2's and 1099's from most recent year.
b. A completed Business/Farm statement for each business or farm owned by a parent. This statement is available at: http://www.nais.org/files/Business_Farm_2005-06.pdf
In the event of divorce or separation, both parents must submit their tax returns to Siena, and file a PFS with SSS.
